Wild Tours

Those Bastille lads have gone and done it. Finally, after all those miles and endless writing sessions… they’ve released Album number 2. Hurrah!

(And it’s great, for the record)

I got to spend a ‘sleep is optional’ pre-launch run in the US with them that included some live performances of the new material, plus events to promote the album. I was also part of some Wild World pop-ups, which I gotta say were pretty surreal and stark in just the way they were going for.

I’m going to keep this post sweet and simple. I’m heading out tomorrow to join them on the mini US tour. They’ll be doing mostly intimate venues, keeping things on a scale more like the early days. I for one can’t wait for “Winter of Our Youth” live (hopefully they’ll be playing it…).

I’m just excited that this band has created another great album. No. 1 in the UK, top 5 USA, rocking the rankings all over the world. They deserve every bit of it.
